Wedding filmKinari & AkashHighlightsWhy Portugal for an Indian wedding
Portugal has become one of Europe's favourite destinations for South Asian weddings: palaces and monasteries near Lisbon, cliff-top resorts in the Algarve, gardens in Sintra, and a climate that allows celebrations outdoors for much of the year. Families travel from India, Canada, the USA and the UK, and the events often stretch over several days and several venues.
How we film a multi-day celebration
An Indian wedding is not one event but a sequence of them, each with its own pace and light. We plan the filming day by day with you and your planner: the Mehndi and Haldi in the daytime, the Sangeet with its performances, the Baraat, the ceremony with its rituals, and the reception. Our team is built to be in more than one place at once, so the bride's side and the groom's side are both filmed as they happen, without staging.
Our approach is documentary and cinematic: we stay close without interrupting, and we edit for emotion and music rather than for a checklist of shots. Couples receive a highlight film of the whole celebration and a Long Cut that lets them see each event again. Options such as a same-day edit are available, and everything is described in our Couples' Catalogue.
Venues where we have filmed Indian weddings
Our work for Indian couples spans the Lisbon coast, Sintra, the Algarve and Madeira. Browse the venue pages to see how we work in each one, or tell us the venue you are considering and we will tell you honestly how the day can be filmed there.
Indian wedding films in Portugal
Do you film multi-day Indian weddings in Portugal?
Yes. Multi-day celebrations are a large part of our work: more than two hundred Indian and multi-day weddings so far. We cover the Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, Baraat, ceremony and reception, with a team sized to the schedule.
How many videographers do you bring to an Indian wedding?
It depends on the number of events and how much happens at the same time. Our South Asian Collection is built around a team of videographers so that each moment, from the groom's procession to the bride's preparations, is filmed by someone in the right place.
What will we receive after an Indian wedding?
A highlight film of around eight minutes for the whole celebration, and a Long Cut of up to fifty minutes that lets you relive the events at a calmer pace. The full details are in our Couples' Catalogue.
Which venues in Portugal do you recommend for an Indian wedding?
We have filmed Indian weddings at Penha Longa, Palácio do Correio-Mor, Forte da Cruz, Palácio de Queluz, Vandelli Ajuda, Quinta Lago dos Cisnes and across the Algarve and Madeira. Each venue page describes how we work there.
Can you film a same-day edit at an Indian wedding?
Yes. A same-day edit is filmed, edited and screened during the reception. It works best when planned with your venue and planner in advance.
We live abroad. Can you work with our planner remotely?
Yes. Most of our couples live in Canada, the USA or the UK. We plan the schedule by video call with you and your planner, and we visit or know the venue before the day.
